Bridging therapy to everyday social interactions
Enhance social communication skills in a strength-based, fun, and supportive small-group setting. Red Oak social communication support empowers children and teens to recognize and celebrate their communication abilities, build upon their strengths, and learn new skills.
Our occupational therapists (OTs) and speech-language pathologists (SLPs) facilitate dyads and small groups. Our dyads and groups are a naturalistic, individually tailored way to support children and teens in practicing self-advocacy, collaboration, conversation, and other skills in a neurodiversity-affirming manner.
Our practitioners will work with you to identify the model of support that benefits your child most each step of the way.
-
Dyad pairs are created based on goodness-of-fit, determined by Red Oak practitioners in consultation with families. Dyads include one other child/teen in addition to your child and Red Oak practitioner. Dyad sessions allow you to tailor session goals and activities to both children/teens, creating customized and flexible sessions.
Dyads are organized by your practitioner and billed at the same rate as individual sessions with your Red Oak OT/SLP.
-
Our groups allow children and teens to build confidence when interacting, communicating, and collaborating with peers, and apply strategies they have learned in one-on-one SLP/OT therapy.
Our groups are run quarterly and tailored to different ages, goals and profiles.
Current Groups
