A fun and interactive group for younger children to enhance their self-regulation and social skills
Social Communication & Self-Regulation Group
In this OT-led group, kids ages 5-6 years old will work together to strengthen self-regulation and social skills learning how to manage emotions, communicate effectively, and focus.
We use social and self-regulation skills in all aspects of our lives. Social communication skills include what we say, how we say it, our body language and what is appropriate in different contexts. Self-regulation is our ability to adjust our energy level, emotions and attention.
Through movement, arts and crafts, games, and role-play, they will explore strategies from Zones of Regulation®, Alert Program®, and Social Thinking® to build life essential emotional and social tools.
