Shirley Reichberg, an OCT-certified educator with 17 years of classroom experience, is passionate about empowering students to succeed. Specializing in special education and executive function coaching, Shirley is dedicated to helping students build essential skills like organization, time management, planning, and task prioritization—tools that foster both academic achievement and personal growth.
As an Executive Function Coach, Shirley leverages her extensive teaching experience to provide personalized support, helping students, from Grade 1 through to university, build the skills and habits needed to work effectively and efficiently while fostering greater independence and confidence in their learning. As a special education educator, Shirley offers Academic Support in Literacy for students in Grades 1 to 8, by using a systematic, evidence-based approach.
For Shirley, academic success goes beyond mastering content—it’s about empowering students with the tools to learn and thrive. Her supportive approach helps students build resilience, embrace independence, and take pride in their accomplishments.
Shirley’s educational journey began at the University of Toronto, where she discovered her love for teaching and her desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people. She went on to complete her teacher training at Canisius College, where she gained a strong foundation in educational practices and the tools to create impactful learning experiences. At the heart of Shirley’s work is a commitment to creating a warm and nurturing environment where students feel supported and empowered to reach their full potential.
