Leah Izenberg
Leah Izenberg is the co-founder and director of The Red Oak Centre, a practice she established alongside Dr. Dahlia Fisher with a vision of providing families with comprehensive, expert care tailored to kids, teens, and young adults facing social, emotional, and academic challenges. Inspired by her experiences as a mother and insights from her professional practice, Leah recognized a pressing need for accessible, integrated support to help families navigate developmental and learning hurdles.
As director, Leah plays an essential role in orchestrating Red Oak’s operations, fostering collaboration across departments to ensure a seamless, client-centred approach to care. She aligns the team’s efforts with the Centre’s mission, creating an environment where families receive cohesive, holistic support tailored to their unique needs.
With twenty years of experience teaching literacy skills to children, adolescents, and adults with learning and developmental disabilities, Leah brings extensive expertise to her work. She holds a Master of Education in Cognitive Studies, focusing on literacy development, from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Education from McGill University.
